Where to find it
Open your widget in Settings > Website chat and go to the Appearance tab. The preview on the right updates as you change things, so you can see the result before you save.
The settings
Name shown to visitors. The name at the top of the chat window, for example "Acme support". It is also how the widget is listed in your workspace. If you set a greeting title on the Greeting and hours tab, the chat header shows that instead.
Colour. The main colour of the chat button and window. Pick one with the colour picker or type a hex code such as #6366F1.
Position. Whether the chat button sits in the Bottom left or Bottom right corner of your site.
Launcher label. The label a screen reader announces for the chat button, for example "Chat with us". Visitors using a screen reader hear this; other visitors do not see it.
Avatar. What appears beside messages from your team:
- None shows the first letter of the widget's name.
- Workspace logo shows your workspace logo.
- Team photos shows up to four of your teammates at the top of the chat window.
Whichever you choose, messages come from the widget's name, never from a named person.
Click Save (or Create widget for a new one) to apply your changes. The widget on your site picks them up the next time a page loads.
