Where to write articles
Go to Website > Articles. This is where every help article for your workspace lives, alongside your chat widgets.
Writing an article
- Click to start a new article.
- Write a title and the body, in the writing panel on the left.
- On the right, under Article settings, choose a category, and optionally set a slug and SEO fields.
- Click Save to keep it as a draft, or Publish to make it live.
An article stays a draft, visible only to your workspace, until you publish it. Publishing an article does not automatically make your help centre public. That is a separate switch, covered below.
Categories
Categories are the sections of your help centre, shown in the order you set them. Open Categories from the Articles page to add, rename, reorder, or delete one. Deleting a category does not delete its articles: they stay, without a category, and still show on your help centre under the other articles.
Publishing your help centre
Open Help centre settings from the Articles page:
- Turn on Publish the help centre. When on, your published articles are public at the address shown.
- Optionally set a site title (it uses your workspace name if you leave this blank) and an intro line.
- Choose which chat widget appears on the help centre pages, or leave it to use your first active one.
Your help centre's public address looks like https://app.kloviscrm.com/h/<your-workspace>, and each article has its own page under it. Share this address, or link to it from your own site.
You can also serve the help centre on your own domain. See "Publish your help centre" for that and the other settings.
Where visitors see your articles
Once your help centre is public, published articles show up in two places: on the help centre site itself, and inside the chat widget, on the visitor's home screen and when they start a new conversation, so a visitor can often find an answer without waiting for a reply. Visitors can also search articles by keyword from within the widget.
