Where to find it
Go to Website > Visitors. Once your chat widget is on your site, everyone who lands on a page with the widget shows up here, most recently seen first. If Website chat is off for your workspace, this page points you to Settings > Website chat instead.
The numbers at the top
Three tiles sum up today:
- Online now, visitors seen on your site in the last two minutes.
- Visitors today, how many different visitors came today.
- Page views today, how many pages they looked at.
The page refreshes itself every 30 seconds, so you can leave it open.
The list
Each row shows:
- Visitor, with a green dot if they are on the site right now. A visitor you know shows their name and a Linked label. Anyone else shows as an anonymous visitor.
- Page, the page they are on or were last on.
- Source, where they came from, such as a search engine or a campaign.
- Country and Device.
- Last seen.
Use the tabs to show All visitors, only those Online, or only those who are Linked. If you have more than one widget, a button lets you pick one widget or All widgets. The search box finds visitors by name, email or page.
A visitor's details
Click a row to open that visitor. You see whether they are online, how many visits and pages they have had, and their email if they gave one. Under Visits, each visit lists when it started, how many pages it covered, how long it lasted, the site that sent them, any campaign tags in the link (UTM values), and every page they looked at, in order, with the time.
When a visitor is linked to a person
A visitor is just a browser until you know who they are. They become linked to a person in your workspace in one of these ways, shown in their details:
- Typed their email, in the chat.
- Clicked a tracked link, for example from one of your emails.
- Signed in on the site, when your site tells the widget who is signed in.
- Saved by a teammate.
A linked visitor has an Open record button that opens the person. Visitors who are never linked stay on this page only. They are not added to People.
