Publish your help centre

Last updated on 25 Sep 2026

Where to find it

Go to Settings > Help centre, or open Help centre settings from Website > Articles. The help centre comes with Website chat, so Website chat has to be on for your workspace first.

Publish

Turn on Publish the help centre. Your published articles are then public at the address shown under Address. Use the copy button to copy it, and share it or link to it from your site.

Turning this off hides the whole help centre. Your articles are kept, and each one stays published or draft as it was.

Site

  • Site title, the name at the top of the help centre. Leave it empty to use your workspace name.
  • Intro, a line under the title, for example "Search our articles or browse the topics below."
  • Articles shown per category on the home page, from 1 to 12. Readers see a See all link for the rest.
  • Chat widget, the widget shown on every help centre page. Choose one, or Your first active widget. If the widget you chose is switched off, your first active widget is shown instead.

Click Save to apply these.

Custom domain

You can serve the help centre on your own address, such as support.yourdomain.com, instead of the Klovis one.

  1. Under Custom domain, type the address and click Connect.
  2. Klovis lists the DNS records to add. Add them where your domain's DNS is managed, for example your domain registrar. Each value has a copy button.
  3. Click Check now. The status moves from Waiting for DNS to Records found while the security certificate is set up, and then to Live.

DNS changes can take a while to reach everyone, so if the records are not found straight away, wait and check again. Once the domain is Live, it becomes the address shown under Address.

To stop using it, click Remove and confirm. The usual Klovis address works again straight away.

  • "Write help articles for your visitors"
  • "The website chat report", for article views and the searches that found nothing.
